Technique by Elsa Riedel

1. Carefully clean greenware re-carving the detail where necessary.
2. Fire to properly fired witness cone 04.
3. Glaze the inside with color of your choice.
4. Fire to properly fired witness cone 06/05.
5. Basecoat the rooster with Roughcut Bronze.
6. Mix equal parts of Black and Antique-It together.
7. Apply this mixture to the entire surface in small sections at a time. Wipe back with a slightly dampened sponge.
8. Apply Fingertip Gold to the body of the rooster, beak, and to the veins of the large feathers.
9. Apply Fingertip Copper to the comb, wattle, and large feathers.
10. Highlight the beak, edges of the large feather and body with Fingertip Burnished Gold.
